ARE YOU NEW TO ALLSTAR CHEER?
WHAT IS ALLSTAR CHEER:
All Star Cheer is a high energy, team-based, performance sport that is athletic, artistic and acrobatic. It involves athletes practicing & competing with a routine composed of tumbling, stunting, pyramids, and dance sections.
While some skills are individually developed, such as tumbling or dancing, partner stunts, pyramids and tosses require a great deal of teamwork and routines require synchronization and team uniformity.
All Star Cheer differs from traditional school cheer teams in that its primary purpose is competition, while school cheer involves crowd leading and other school roles, as well as the option for competition. All Star cheer teams are most often organized and based out of a club and have teams that are open to all area cheer athletes.
WHAT IS NOVICE: For individuals who are brand new to All Star Cheer, but are ready for performance-based teams that are evaluated at events. Novice teams focus on strength training, proper technique, learning basic tumbling and stunting skills. Novice teams are the perfect starting point to help prepare athletes for competitive All Star teams in the future. Novice programs are very affordable.
WHAT IS PREP: For individuals with limited tumbling or brand new tumbling skills that still need to be perfected. Prep teams work to strengthen their technique on tumbling and stunting skills. Our prep teams are trained just like we train our elite athletes in a competitive team atmosphere. Prep teams typically require a little less time and cost commitments than are required of the Elite teams.
WHATS IS ELITE: For individuals with a strong knowledge in competitive cheer. These athletes have solid technical training. Elite teams have harder and longer practice days. Elite teams are compromised of athletes who are physically and mentally ready for highly competitive performances in a fast paced learning environment. Not only do they have to have specific skills to make the team, but they have to clean and maintain their skills throughout the season to secure their spot.
